About Library

Welcome to our college library, a beacon of knowledge since 1965. Evolving with the times, we automated our systems in 2005, introduced barcoding in 2013, and relocated to the Jubilee Block in 2018, providing a modern and spacious learning environment. Spanning around 6000 sq.ft, our library accommodates 175 users, offering a seamless blend of tradition and modernity.

Library Rules & Regulations

• The Library is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on all working days.
• The students must carry their identity card with him/her to get in to the library. The students are not permitted to use other students’ Identity Cards.
• Strict silence should be observed in the library and its premises.
• Students shall keep their personal belongings such as bags, files, textbooks and notebooks etc., at the property counter at their own risk.
• In case any personal reading material has to be taken inside the library, permission must be sought from the library staff. All reading materials issued to them shall be shown to the official at the exit point before leaving the library.
• Degree students may borrow and keep a maximum of 5 books and P.G. students, Research Scholars, and Faculties borrow 10 books at a time.
• Books issued from the library must be returned within 14 days or they can be renewed for a further period of 7 days, if no one else has applied for the same books. Otherwise fine will be charged rupees 1/- per day per book from the due date till the book is returned to library.
• Loss of any issued book must be reported immediately to the librarian. For the loss of books, the following procedure will be followed:
  • If a new edition or copies of the lost books are available with book suppliers, the book has to be replaced by a new one.
  • If the lost book is not available for replacement the value of the lost book will be realized at the following rates:
    • Ten times the face value of the books, which were published prior to 1944.
    • Six times the face value of books, which were published in between 1944-1970
    • Three times the face value of books in all other cases.
  • If the book value cannot be ascertained from the library stock registers, compensation will be fixed on the basis of the market price of similar publication at the time of fixation.
• Sub-lending and transferring of books to other person’s name are not allowed.
• Disfiguring the pages, scribbling on pages, tearing pages, spoiling and injuring of binding will be considered serious damage to books and in such cases they are either to be replaced by new copies or get bound by the borrowers themselves.
• Eating and sleeping are not allowed in the library.
• In all matters regarding the Library, the decision of the College Principal shall be final.
• Library is kept under CCTV surveillance.
