Small evergreen tree 10 - 15 m , Leaves deeply veined and ovate to oblong , dark green in colour below . Bark of younger tree smooth and pale, bark of older tree brittle , rough and brownish . Flowers in panicles , small and yellowish to white colour , unpleasant odor , grow in bunches , sepals 6 . Fruit oval shaped , dark purple in color holding seeds inside it .
