Gliricidia sepium ( Jacq.) Walp.

Trees upto 8 m . Leaves odd pinnate , alternate ; rachis 8 - 30 cm , slender , pulvinate , pubescent ; leaflets 7-12 , opposite ; ovate , ovate - oblong , elliptic - ovate or elliptic - oblong , base obtuse or oblique , apex acuminate or obtuse , margin entire , glabrous above . Flowers 2cm across , rose - pink , to 20 cm long racemes ; pedicels to 2cm . Calyx campanulate , to 5mm ; lobes obscure . Petals exserted ; standard orbicular , with 2 callosities above auricles .

* Employed as expectorant and diuretic ( Nadhi et al , 2016 ) .
