Jasminum sambac L.

A small evergreen vine or shrub , scarcely climbing . Leaves opposite , membranous , broadly ovate or elliptic , obtuse glabrous , base rounded or subcordate , petiole hairy . Flower fragrant , pedicellate , solitary or 3-flowered terminal cyme ; white . Calyx hairy , teeth 5-9 , linear-subulate . Corolla lobes as long as tube , narrowly oblong , acute or obtuse . Fruit carpel 1-2 subglobose .
