Plant Details

Annona muricata L.

Trees about 5-10 m tall . Bark dark brown , corky fissured . Leaves simple , alternate , ovate- lanceolate to oblong - elliptic , dark green , petiole pubescent . Flowers bisexual , axillary , solitary , sub capitate , pedicels slender ; sepals 3 , ovate , thick , greenish when young yellow when mature ,petals 6 , subequal , ovate . Fruit heart-shaped , green, prickly. Seed endospermic.
