Leaves opposite , petiolate , ovate-elliptic or obovate -rounded , finely and softly pubescent on both sides . Flowers greenish white , numerous on axillary or terminal spikes . Fruit easily disarticulate , oblong or ovoid and utricle . Seed inverse or lenticular .
