Tropical  annual  herbaceous  weed  . Stem  often  red ,  long  white  hairs  present  . Leaves  with  unpleasant  smell  covered  with  fine  hair.  Leaves  oppositely  arranged  ovate  to lance  like , coarsely  rounded  ,  toothed  margin  .  Pale  blue  or  whitish  flower  heads  forming  dense domed  to  flat  topped  clusters  in  leaf axils  .Sepals  5: petals  5. Seeds  dark  with  scales  end  in needle  like  shape

*It  is  associated  with  antimicrobial  ,  anti-protozoal  and  insecticidal  activities (Yadav et al.,   2019)

*Used  to  treat  a variety  of  conditions  ,  including  common  colds  ,  headaches  ,  boils  , eczema  .

*  Also  used  in  treating  bleeding  wounds  and  burns .

* It  has  larvicidal  and  growth  inhibitory  activity (Neetu et al., 2011)  .

*  Used against dysentery and diarrhoea  .
