Erect prostate herb  ,  stem cylindrical  , branched  ,  hairy  ,   quadrangular  at  first terate  when  old  .  Leaves  sessile  , opposite  ,   elliptic   ,   oblong   ,   round .  Flowers  spikes  ,  small  ,  whitish   or pinkish  tinge  , axillary  globose  condensed spike  ,  anther  1  celled  .  Fruit  utricles  ,  2 cm  long  ,  obcordate  ,  deeply  emarginated  .  Seeds  ovoid  glabrous.
